Not sure about you guys but I enjoyed my night at Progressions @ Zirca.

The trance was fucking solid with lots of interesting moments, old classics were played and new tracks were dropped. Incredible.

Zirca’s bass never fails to blow my balls away. If I’m not right smack in front screaming “Kee Kah , Kee Chiew!!” I’m standing in front of their giant speakers getting a bass massage.

Fan girls, DJ worshippers and booty shakers. Nice. Managed to get some great shots of DJ Yukun’s set but no laptop till tomorrow to upload them.

Best part of it all is that I FINALLY FINALLY managed to get a copy of Progressions True Blue Vol 4!

One helluva solid mix, very well arranged with great sound quality. Want a copy? Get in line like the rest of us.

Till then, see you at the next one!

Ra Ra Rasputin! Bloody awesome club.

To the left of club Area, look out for the bearded man.

The DJ has taste. Old school Boat Quay bump and grind RNB, mixed with Electro chart toppers and a hint of dubstep.

Ladies night free flow don’t come in sissy glasses with retarded waiting lines in Rasputin …They serve it by the JUG.

Now thats what a free flow is meant to be like in my opinion. It’s a free flow, what’s the logic of getting one drink and having to join a mad “Q” …AGAIN?
People want to enjoy, not waste their fucking time waiting for drinks.

Never make a lady wait for whatever reason, where’s your manners?

Drink are pretty cheap. My bourbon coke was $10++ , my Jaeger Bombs were $12 with a can of Redbull.

Sparse number of locals, lots of Russian ladies, lots of fun. Just the way I like it.

If you are the sort that enjoys blending in with the rest of “Sheepapore” hit the mega club. If you want to really enjoy yourself try the smaller establishments like Rasputin, get shit wasted, dance with people you don’t know and wake up the next morning wondering how the hell you ever got home.

Better music , better service, more sensible promotions.

The more I listen to my Ipod the more I miss things outside of Singapore. Good music brings back the times.

Singapore is nice but i don’t see myself living here for much longer.

Honestly I don’t hate the country. It’s just that you come to a point where you have seen everything that needs to be seen. Heard everything that needs to be heard.

What’s left of Singapore to be discovered?

I grew up in town and in my later years, town has not changed much, if not more uninteresting than before.

Brand labels are the same from Forum Galleria to Plaza Singapura. Heartland malls? Been to one and you have been to them all.

Even Hdb flats look no different be it in Jurong, Hougang or Sengkang. Honestly, I can’t tell the difference till this day.

As for night life, all major clubs generally play the same music. Electrohouse all over the place, or whatever suits the fancy of the majority.

The irony of it all is that the DJ’s don’t want to play this music and the club goers tell me they are sick of this shit. So where exactly is the weak link here?

I think the problem with Singapore partially due to governmental oppression but also the incapability of the average Singaporean individual taking any genuine risk.

Everyone here just plays it safe. No one dares to “lose face” through failure.

We just live in a society addicted to safety and precaution. In constant fear of what the person next person might think.

Personally, If everyone is so obsessed with change then start with the source and stop blaming society for the lack of it.

To me, change starts with self before the rest of the world.

I have long given up on Singaporean politics but if you must, stop whining like a baby and do something that truly promotes change.

Singapore’s newest bar, The Vault, throws open its doors | Going Out – By Night – Yahoo! Entertainment Singapore.

The Vault is fucking awesome man.

I like how efficient the bar staff are. At least i get my card back within five mins unlike some places.

Great music. Reminisce of the good old times of Venom and China Black. Soul and funky house classics for now. Vijay and Cassie are fantastic!

Now waiting for the Love Affair to come on. Getting ready to hit the dance floors. This is looking good already!

Went to Avalon last night. Looks like Wednesday’s have become the new day care centre for underaged kids.

Women pushing and shoving like “aunties” in a wet market for the free flow and guys still having the “How old do you think I am” talk in the elevator.

Think if the cops ever stop by they also can have their bonus period “free flow” here as well.

Generic music, extremely main stream. Exciting for some but definitely not for the dance music aficionados.

Not that Im entirely against mainstream club bangers but the tracks being played last night were pretty dated. Stuff like Usher, Lil Jon, Pitbull, Flo Rida’s older tracks were among them. Cheese I used to spin at parties… 6 months ago.

For ladies the attraction of free “free flow” is there but as for myself, I’ve given up on Avalon Wednesdays.

Whats more, guys have to pay $20 for 1 drink (after free flow hours), if not its $28 for a crummy 2hr free flow. Which is probably one of the most “Bo Hua” free flows I’ve heard of.

My verdict… Don’t waste time. Unless you are a teenager wanting to get sloshed to shit music this is not the night for you. Fridays and Saturdays are much better.
